Answer: B.

Both magnesium carbonate and magnesium nitrate decompose to give carbon dioxide and nitrogen dioxide, respectively. Magnesium oxide however is too thermally stable to decompose thus does not. Since 1 and 2 are correct option B is the only correct option.
